Ferozepur SSP dies of cardiac arrest

Ferozepur, July 23

Manminder Singh (48), SSP, passed away this morning following a cardiac arrest.

His servant found the officer lying unconscious on the floor in his bedroom. The officer was shifted to a private hospital where doctors tried to revive him but in vain.

The deceased is survived by his wife, daughter and a son. The body was taken to his native village in Jalandhar.

Senior political leaders, including Kamal Sharma, former state BJP chief, MLAs Parminder Singh Pinki and Joginder Singh, besides several SAD and BJP leaders arrived at the hospital to express condolences with the bereaved family. DIGRS Khatra said Manminder was an efficient officer, who always used to put duty before self.

MLA Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi said the police officials were working under pressure these days.
