Fed up with his illness (tuberculosis), a 24-year-old youth committed suicide a few days before his wedding at Raipur Rani here.

The deceased has been identified as Prince. His body was found in the fields near his home today.

A suicide note has been recovered from his pocket. It stated that he was tired of the disease. So, he was ending his life. He did not blame anyone for his death and stated that none of his family members be bothered by the police.

Prince worked at a private factory in Dera Bassi and had not returned from work since Tuesday. His body was spotted by villagers today.

Prince’s father had lost his life to cancer. Prince was living with his mother at Garhi Kotaha village.

Prince’s wedding was fixed for March 5. 

The police took the body to the Civil Hospital in Sector 6 here.

Later, the body of the deceased was handed over to the family members after conducting the post-mortem examination.
