Express gratitude towards Army men: Paul to state

Brig (retd) KB Chandra, Director of Uttarakhand Sainik Kalyan Evam Punarvas, today pinned a flag on Governor KK Paul’s coat on the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day.

The Governor made a donation for the Armed Forces flag fund and appealed to the people of the state to generously contribute towards the fund to express gratitude and respect towards soldiers who dedicated their lives to defend the country.

He said the money would be used for the welfare of servicemen, ex-servicemen and families of martyrs. Paul greeted the families of soldiers, ex-servicemen and martyrs and said he had great love, respect and devotion towards the Indian Armed Forces. He was always ready to support any effort to help the families of soldiers and martyrs, including their rehabilitation, children’s education and marriages, the Governor added.

Major Prem Bahadur Gurung, Deputy Director of Sainik Kalyan, Uttarakhand, was also present on the occasion.
