Encroachments along roadside removed at Baloo

According HP PWD Chamba Division Executive Engineer Jeet Singh Thakur,

As many as 10 wooden structures were demolished at Baloo on the outskirts of Chamba town while two such structures were removed at Nakrot in Churah subdivision of the district.

HP PWD Chamba Division Executive Engineer Jeet Singh Thakur said that these structures were demolished with the help of police force. He said that these illegal encroachments on the roadside government land were creating hindrance for the movement of pedestrians as well as the vehicular traffic. PWD officials had been receiving complaints from the general public and, consequently, the department had to take stern action.
