EC team to visit 4 districts tomorrow

Chandigarh, January 19

A team of the Election Commission of India (ECI) will revisit the state with special focus on four districts — Bathinda, Mansa, Muktsar and Fazilka.

Sources said the team led by Deputy Election Commissioner Vijay Kumar Dev would conduct meetings with top officials of the four districts on Saturday.

“The focus this time is to assess the poll preparedness in these districts which are close to international border. The team will hold meetings with deputy commissioners, SSPs and other senior officers,” said a senior officer.
