It’s that time of the year when Eid festivities take over the filmy mood in Bollywood. Bollywood films have always depicted the joy of this lovely festival in various songs and dances. Apart from the films releasing on Eid, there are films with few remarkable songs that showcase the joy during this festival and spread the vibe of happiness. We have put together for you a list of some of the greatest Bollywood songs to glorify the atmosphere during Eid...

Wallah Re Wallah: This song from Tees Maar Khan has Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan dance to the groovy tune. It is a high energetic track with a qawwali feel to it.

Arziyan: The Sufism-imbued notes of Arziyan from movie Delhi 6 are soothing to the ears. A song of this genre is a flawless chemistry between its core voices, Javed Ali and the emotions of Kailash Kher.

Mashallah: This Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif is a groovy number. Mashallah from Ek Tha Tiger is a melodious composition by Sajid-Wajid that rides high on commercial aspects and is a multi-layered composition with lots of Arabic and Persian arrangements.

Chand Sifarish: This beautiful song from Fanaa marked the comeback of Kajol. Rendered by Shaan and Kailash Kher, Jatin-Lalit has done wonders to this soundtrack which sounds so fresh. Definitely it’s one of the songs you can hear on Eid and express joy with your loved ones.

Dekho Chaand Aaya: Yu Shabnami Pehle Nahi Thi Chaandni… what perfect way to celebrate this festival with your near and dear ones with the lyrics going hand-in-hand! This song is from the movie Saawariyan.

Khwaja Mere Khwaja: This brilliant song from Jodha Akbar will always be one of the lifetime favourites. A great composition by A R Rahman. A story behind this song is, this one was actually not composed for the movie, it was one of the templates which Rahman recorded for himself to listen to. Gowarikar liked this so much that he wanted this to be in the movie, and he created a sequence for the song.

Shukranallah: A song to celebrate love, and everything about love. This song from Kurbaan was beautifully picturised on Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor. If you’re looking at expressing your love this Eid, then this song should definitely top your list— Humpe meherbaan do jahaan…

Noor-e-Khuda: This is one memorable song from My Name is Khan. Featured on Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, the song is sung by Adnan Sami, Shankar Mahadevan and Shreya Ghoshal.
