To sensitise students towards needs of the earth, Mukand Lal Public School celebrated Earth Day here today.

School principal S Bathla said that the celebration started with special assembly in which students and teachers threw light on environment pollution and methods to conserve natural resources.

She said that many events were organised for students of Classes I to XII. Students of Classes I to V expressed their opinions on the ‘importance of trees’ through creative and colourful drawings. She said that students of Classes VI to XII designed beautiful posters on ‘save earth’.

Bathla further said that students had a greater responsibility to conserve the resources. She motivated the students to plant trees and keep their body, home, school and surroundings clean. — TNS
