Dinanagar, July 29

Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today urged the Opposition to refrain from ‘politicising’ the Dinanagar terrorist attack, saying “cheap politics” was unwarranted in the national interest.

After visiting the Dinanagar police station, which was used by the terrorists as a hideout, Badal said: “It is high time that all political parties and their leaders joined hands to combat the grave problem of terrorism. It is highly deplorable that few political leaders are trying to get a political mileage by indulging in politicking over the issue”.

The CM announced a government job for one of the family members of the deceased and Rs 10 lakh to each of the jawans killed in the attack. He said the state government would make concerted efforts to further modernise the police force in the state. He batted for a grand dose of the Central assistance for the modernisation process
