Dehradun, June 3

Uttarakhand Director General of Police MA Ganpati has rubbished “rumours” circulating on social media that he might go back on deputation to New Delhi as he did not enjoy the best of relations with the state government, saying he enjoys a good rapport with the administration.

“A misleading message about the DGP is doing the rounds on social media. There is no truth in it. The fact is that he is currently in Hyderabad to attend a reunion programme at NPA of the 1986 batch IPS officers,” a release from the state police headquarters media cell here said. Meanwhile, the DGP said legal action will be taken against those spreading the rumour.

“I enjoy good rapport with the state government and the news about me going back on deputation is completely incorrect. Legal action might be taken against those spreading the rumour,” Ganpati said. — PTI
