Dengue: 17 new cases in city

CHANDIGARH: Seventeen fresh cases of dengue have been reported from various health institutions here today.

Seventeen fresh cases of dengue have been reported from various health institutions here today. With the new cases, the dengue count in the city has jumped to 421. Besides, two new cases of chickungunya have also been reported by the GMCH-32 and the PGI.

Dr Gaurav Aggarwal, nodal officer, anti-malaria wing, UT Health Department, said they were carrying out fumigation in the city besides creating awareness on vector-borne diseases and checking of mosquito-breeding sources. — TNS
