Air India will start one more flight between New Delhi and Dharamsala from tomorrow. The flight will leave Delhi at 3 pm daily and reach Dharamsala at 4.40 pm. It will leave Dharamsala again at 5 pm and reach Delhi at 6.40 pm. With the launch of the new evening flight, the number of Air India flights on this air circuit will now rise to two. SpiceJet is operating two flights daily on the Delhi-Dharamsala circuit.

Official sources said the airlines have decided to start new flights in view of the increasing tourist traffic to Kangra valley. With the addition of the new flight air fare is also likely to come down. It was also disclosed that during the past two days both the airlines had reduced their air tariff by 40 per cent.

Meanwhile, Naveen Sareen, a spokesman of Kangra Valley Travel Agents Association, today appealed to Union Civil Aviation Minister Ganpati Raju to direct airlines to reduce air fare on the Dharamsala-Delhi circuit and bring it on par with UDAN, the new scheme launched by the NDA government for small cities. He said at present the tourists were being exploited by the airlines by charging hefty airfare which goes up to Rs 18,000 per person.
