Cultural events, herbal colours mark Holi milan functions

Various Holi programmes were organised here today in which cultural performances and colours made of flowers were the main attraction.

The SIDCUL Entrepreneur Welfare Association here also hosted a Holi Milan programme.

The programme was inaugurated by Ram Moorti Veer, a politician.

President of the association Anil Sharma along with Ranjeet Jalan, Punit Goyal, Sulabh Jain, Anuj Jain, N Sahani, Sanjay Bansal, Adrash Kaliya, Sudhir Kumar, Jagjeet Lal Pahwa, Gagan Pahwa, Sandeep Jain, Praksh Setiya, Kulbhushan and RC Jain were present at the function.

At Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, the Roorkee Parvatiya Samaj, Sheel Kunj, organised a Holi festival programme.

Coordinator Beena Pant, Majari Pant, Rama Pant, Manish Pant, Prakash Pant, NID Joshi, Parvati Pandey, Malti Joshi among others were present.

The Vichar Jagriti Manch also organised a Holi Milan programme at Shivji Palace. Manch president Sudhir Sharma welcomed the guests, with performances by some television artistes being the highlight of the programme.

Scribes also organised a pre-Holi festival function.

Sanjay Arya urged people to shun harmful colours and chemicals.

Veteran journalist PS Chauhan emphasised on the use of herbal colours and traditional mode of celebrating Holi.

Shiv Shankar Jaiswal, Kaushal Shikhola, Subash Kapil, Rameshwar Gaur, Deepak Nautiyal, Sunil Dutt Pandey, Radhika Nagrath, Mudit, Mahavir Negi, Dharmendra Chaudhari, Dharmendra Bhatt, Manoj Khanna, Amit Sharma, Gurpreet, Thakur Shailesh, Shivang Aggarwal, Tanveer Ali, Manoj Rawat, Nisha Sharma among others were present.
