The HPCC will organise a one-day convention in 20 blocks of the state on June 30 to ‘expose the failures’ of the Modi government during its two-year rule.

Addressing a press conference here yesterday, Naresh Chauhan, chairman of the HPCC media department, said senior party leaders would preside over conventions in 20 blocks. HPCC President Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu would be present at Hamirpur.

“In the first phase, conventions were held at seven organisational districts and now 20 such conventions will be organised at 20 blocks under the second phase,” he said, adding that the HPCC would complete the campaign in remaining blocks in two phases by July 30.

He said as per the schedule prepared for the conventions in the 20 blocks where the Congress had lost the Assembly elections for two or more times, senior leaders will interact with party workers. As per the list, Sukhu will be present at Hamirpur, Chander Kumar at Una, Gangu Ram Musafir at Shahpur, Harsh Mahajan at Dharampur, Ram Lal Thakur at Indora (SC), Harshwardhan Chauhan at Jogindernagar, Ajay Mahajan at Chamba, Rangila Ram Rao at Arki, Neeraj Bharti at Nachan (SC), Rajesh Dharmani at Paragpur, Sohan Lal at Seraj, Rohit Thakur at Sarkaghat, Kuldeep Pathania at Dehra, Subhash Manglet at Kasauli (SC), Deepak Rathore at Nalagarh, Chander Shekhar at Jhanduta (SC), Lalit Chaudhary at Kutlehar and Deepak Sharma at Kullu.
