Chandigarh, December 6

Former Vidhan Sabha Speaker and Congress leader Kuldeep Sharma has taken exception to the appointment of BJP activist Vishal Seth as technical adviser to PWD Minister Rao Narbir Singh.

Seth, a former president of the Panchkula district unit of the BJP who ran business of ready-mix concrete (RMC) till recently, joined duties in the minister’s office today.

Sharma alleged that the BJP government was clueless about the administration and technicalities of governance and that was why it was engaging BJP and RSS people to posts which were never heard of.

However, Seth described his post as politico-technical in nature and its objective was to bridge the gap between the engineering wing of the department and the minister. Seth said he was an engineering graduate.

Asked what was the rank of his post? Seth replied it was above the Engineer-in-Chief and below the minister.

He said the terms and conditions of his appointment were yet to be finalised.
