Hisar, February 25

Congress leader Sampat Singh faced a protest from a group of agitators at the AIJASS dharna site in Ramayan village today when he went to extend his support to the Jat stir.

AIJASS leaders, including state spokesperson Rambhagat Malik and district president Krishan Kirmara, later apologised to the former minister for the incident. When Sampat reached the dharna, none of the prominent leaders were present as they had gone to Hisar for a meeting. Malik said when they learnt about the incident, they apologised to the Congress leader. “It seems to be handiwork of some disruptive elements, who were at the dharna site,” he said. — TNS
