Cong accuses BJP of destroying country’s economy

Dehradun, January 18

State Congress workers staged a protest at the Reserve Bank of India’s office here today.

Former Congress Nagpur MLA Aneesh Ahmed led the protest. He accused the BJP of destroying the country’s economy. Farmers and deprived sections have suffered the most due to demonetisation, he said. “It is for the first time that restriction has been imposed on the withdrawal of your own hard earned money. The people of the state should give a befitting reply to the Central Government through Assembly elections in the state,” he said.

Congress spokesman Mathura Dutt Joshi, state Congress general secretary Rajendra Bhandari, Dr RP Raturi and Tika Ram Pandey took part in the protest.
