Industries Minister Mukesh Agnihotri today presided over a state level industries review meeting at the department’s Common Facility Center located in the Bathu Industrial area of Una district. Principal Secretary of the Industries Department RD Dhiman, Director Industries Amit Kashyap, Advisor Industries Dr Rajinder Chauhan and Managing Director of the State Industries Development Corporation SS Guleria were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister directed the officials to complete the process of digitisation of all records, formats and application forms so that these can be downloaded by prospective industrialists. He said the application forms, received as industrial memorandums should be followed and processed within a specified period of 45 days.

Agnihotri said the ‘Himachal Bureau of Investment’ was being established by the department to provide timely clearance of industrial proposals and deserving units will be provided incentives under the Start Up India programme, adding that environment friendly units would be given priority.

The minister said three industrial areas, namely Pandoga in Una district, Kandraudi in Kangra district and Dhabota in Solan district, all in the bordering areas of the state were being developed so that industrialists from Punjab were able to set up their units here.

Agnihotri announced that a new water scheme would be constructed at Bela Bathu industrial area at a cost of Rs 1 crore.
