Key trends
2017 will be ruled by quality over quantity and functionality over aesthetics. Danish style hygge, that focuses more on comfortable living than anything else, natural materials that eye the environment and upcycling antiques into new world accent pieces will be the mantra this year.
My plans
To match every step of the fast pacing world towards technology, we at HelpMeBuild aim to integrate AI with home décor. Smart devices that revolutionise our daily routine and enable us to multi task is what the near future looks like. We have already developed a smart mirror that lets you access your daily necessities like social media, news from across the planet, real time traffic and weather updates and also lets you manage your calendar from the comfort of your mirror. We plan to take IOT a step further with our innovative home décor products.
The style statement
Contemporary décor has always been of the moment and will continue to remain so for a long period of time. Clean, geometrical shapes and lines with a minimalistic set up will always be a charmer when it comes to décor. However, contemporary style will get a glamorous makeover with jewel tones as highlights this year.
Colours that will dominate
Jewel tones will carry the baton for the colours entering into 2017. These rich tones exude a sense of opulence and are an excellent choice for introducing a strong dose of glamour. Soft pastels will stay back in 2016 while neutral tones will still be used as muted backdrops for the richer tones. Since, greenery is the colour of the year, it will also reflect in jewel tones with emerald green being the top pick among them.

Key trends
Minimalistic Bathrooms: The main goal of design is to connect the interior style with comfort and functionality while maintaining individuality. The trend is going in the direction of smaller and more private spaces.
My plans
Experimenting with new materials and trends. I have always been fascinated with the concept of building new with something redundant. In the coming year I see myself experimenting with the same.
Style statement
Recycling/upcycling: People are looking for more sustainable furniture and interior ideas. Reusing, repurposing and upcycling will remain a key element. We live in a world immersed in technology and disposable items so people are looking for a balance. Upcycling, in its simplicity, is the process of transforming byproducts, waste materials, useless or unwanted products, into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value. And there seems to be no limits to what you can create!
Colours that will dominate
Named the 2017 Pantone Colour of the Year, "Greenery" is meant to represent refreshment and revitalisation - something we all could use in a complex social and political environment, thus the colour that will dominate the year 2017 is the cheery shade of green you'll see in home decor, fashion and commercial design.

Key trends
Hand crafted is trending again, and will be a key trend this year. People are looking for unusual details and textures in their home fittings. So creativity in design will be popular as people are tired of the bland monochromatic polished modern look. Textures and detail add richness and warmth.
My plans
I want to push the envelope even further for what we can offer in terms of finely crafted hardware. New finishes are in the works (warm tones), and also integration of good design with new technology such as smart locks.
Style statement
It will be all about modern glamour. Whether it is with inlay of semi-precious stones, or textured metal inlays in warm gold-tone finishes, we will help customers make a grand style statement suitable to our more contemporary lifestyles.
Colours that will dominate
I feel that cold polished stainless steel is on its way out, and the dominant colours will be burnished gold, warm blacks, and pops of jade or emerald green. Rich and elegant without being ostentatious.
