CM promises moon to all unemployed by 2022

The state government is committed to providing employment to up to 2022. Chief Minister Harish Rawat said this after inaugurating a Ganga ghat after Sant Ravi Das and renaming the Jwalapur Kumbh Setu as Bhagwan Vishwarkarma bridge here last evening.

The Chief Minister said unemployment and migration were two major issues that his government had seriously working on. The government plans to provide employment to all unemployed persons in the state by 2022.

Rawat said the government was providing Rs 5,000 to all girl children under Meri Beti Mera Abhiman scheme and Uttarakhand is the lone state to do so. He added that soon three more social welfare schemes for women would be launched.

A mass awareness drive would be launched to tackle malnutrition and deficiency of blood in women.

All anganwari centres would provide milk and nutritious food to expectant mothers and a data bank was being compiled of all women suffering from malnutrition for effective reach out.

He renamed the 90 m Jwalpaur Kumbh bridge, built at a cost of Rs 11.94 crore, near Lal Pull (railway bridge) as Bhagwan Vishwakarma bridge. He said another bridge at Pathri to be built would also be named after Bhagwan Vishwarkarma while other bridges would be named after prominent persons.

The Chief Minister inaugurated a Ganga ghat named after Sant Ravi Das near Pull Jatwada in Jwalapur. He said Sant Ravi Das during his life time worked towards removing social malpractices through his simple preaching. He also inaugurated a statue of legendary Rajput king Prithvi Raj Chauhan at Bahadrabad earlier. He said Prithvi Raj Chauhan is known for his valour, patriotism and never say die attitude.

He said the second Indira Amma Canteen was started at the Haridwar Bus Station as the first one was successfully operating at the District Magistrate’s office at Roshanabad.

MLA Mamta Rakesh, former Women Commission chairperson Dr Santosh Chauhan, former MLA Ambrish Kumar, Kiran Singh, Kiran Pal Valmiki, block president Surehso Devi, Dr Jaswant Singh Chauhan, Sanjay Chauhan, Tulsi Ram Chauhan and Kulwant Chauhan were present on the occasion.
