CM, other BJP leaders to campaign in HP

DEHRADUN: In view of the Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh slated to be held by November 9, several leaders from Uttarakhand BJP will be actively campaigning for the party candidates.

In view of the Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh slated to be held by November 9, several leaders from Uttarakhand BJP will be actively campaigning for the party candidates.

A beginning was made  with Uttarakhand Chief Minister TS Rawat campaigning in Jubbal today for BJP candidate Narendra Bragta along with other BJP leaders. 

The battery of leaders who will be campaigning in Himachal Pradesh include Uttarakhand Finance Minister Prakash Pant, Uttarakhand state Minister for Higher Education Dhan Singh Rawat, Uttarakhand Social Welfare Minister Yashpal Arya. Uttarakhand Horticulture Minister Subodh Uniyal is also in Himachal Pradesh along with Prakash Pant.

“All these ministers have taken a tour and would again be pressed into service,” said Ajay Bhatt, Uttarakhand BJP chief. He further said that several party workers have been dispatched to Himachal Pradesh for strengthening the party, “They will continue to be in the state till November 8, for strengthening the campaign for the BJP candidates,” added Bhatt. 

Significantly, Uttarakhand Tourism minister Satpal Maharaj will be actively campaigning in Gujarat. “He was asked by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to start campaigning in Gujarat,” said Ajay Bhatt.
