The Chief Minister today announced that an SDM office, a bus stand and a community hall would be opened in Kumarsain in Shimla district.

Addressing a rally at Kumarsain, he also announced that the primary health centre, Badagaon, would be upgraded to community health centre.

He also announced a PWD subdivision at Kumarsain and a polytechnic near Narkanda. He also announced adequate funds to renovate temples.

Virbhadra Singh inaugurated a Rs 2.17 crore cold store with the capacity of 700 metric tonnes at Odi near Narkanda.

He also laid foundation stones of 50-bedded hospital building and a stadium at Kumarsain to be constructed with an outlay of Rs 1.85 crore and augmentation of various water supply schemes for Kumarsain, Matiana, Kotgarh and Sainj to be constructed with an outlay of Rs 150 crore. It would improve the functioning of 123 existing schemes of 46 panchayats of the area having a population of around 91,000.

Irrigation and Public Health Minister Vidya Stokes assured villagers to fulfil the demand of water supply and said a Rs 150 crore drinking water supply scheme was in the offing which would solve the water problem of Kumarsain, Matiana and Theog where water would be lifted from the Kurpan Khud.

State Youth Congress president Vikramaditya Singh said in next poll, around 40 per cent of theyouth would exercise their right to franchise and the way the development works were being carried out, no doubt the Congress would gain from it.
