Chief Minister Harish Rawat launched the specially crafted SIDCUL smart city system at the 4th Invest North Convention organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) here today. The convention was organised to showcase untapped investment potential of northern states.

He said the system would enable automatic calculation of property—land or building—prices, maintenance and other charges based on various parameters such as area, rate per square metre and interest rates based on industrial estate.

“The smart city system will also ensure the online submission of applications for plots in the industrial estate, online plot planning by industrial estate authority and online payment entry and generation of payment receipts efficiently”, he added.

The Chief Minister said the government was committed to providing full support to the industry and the SIDCUL smart city system was a step in this direction.

Industrial Development Minister Indira Hridayesh released a publication titled, “Opportunities unlimited in Uttarakhand”, on the occasion.

She said the government was would support the industry in every possible way.

CII Uttarakhand State Council’s Chairman Prashant Mahadik said the CII had been working closely with the state government on issues pertaining to the development of the industry in the state.
