More than 2.9 lakh students appeared in the exam in the state. The next date of the examination would be announced later. As per reports, the authorities had distributed question papers to the students at some places.

The board has initiated an inquiry to take action against the culprits, said a spokesperson of HSEB, Bhiwani. Someone informed the officials that copies of the question paper were available and also sent a copy to them, she added.

Acting on the information, the officials cancelled the paper and informed the district authorities about the decision. The information has also been displayed on the website of the board, she said.

Following this, students were depressed as they have to prepare for the exam again. Shalini, an affected student, said that some miscreants had committed this crime but they have to pay for it. Such incidents affect their exam schedule, she added.

Nitin, another student, demanded a strict action against such persons who indulge in such activities for monetary gains.
