Smart Wonders School, Mohali, organised its annual day on the theme “Pehal” today. The students left the audience spellbound with their captivating performances.
The programme started with a recital by the school choir. The theme-based annual day emphasised the need to change the society with a heartwarming story of a schoolgirl who takes up the challenge to educate an underprivileged girl.
The play was followed by a cultural fiesta by the senior students. They took the audience on a journey across India through dance performances of various states.
Kashmiri dance, Assam’s Bihu and Haryanvi and Rajasthani dances gathered applause from the jam-packed audience.
Not forgetting their roots, the students also showed the audience a glimpse of Punjab with breathtaking bhangra performances giving a perfect finish to the show.
School principal Anu Dhingra applauded the students for their confidence and panache.
