Local lads lift Coca Cola Cup

Chandigarh, December 19

Local lads defeated Haryana to win the North Zonal Final of The Coca Cola Cup (Under-15 Sub Junior Football Tournament) at MSLM Ground, Sunder Nagar, Himachal Pradesh, today.

The final match saw the winning team, captained by Arjit Rawat, prevailing over the runner-up Haryana with a final score of 2-0. Ashray Bhardwaj of Chandigarh was adjudged the player of the match.

The winning team was felicitated by Sohan Lal Thakur, Chief Parliamentary Secretary (Panchayat Raj), Himachal Pradesh, along with Ashish Sethi, CEO, Kandhari Bottler Limited.

The tournament witnessed participation from seven states, including Chandigarh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana and Delhi.

Chandigarh team has now qualified for the national event.
