After four days of intermittent snowfall, the high altitudes of Chamba district saw a bright sunny day today.

Reports said the picturesque tourist resorts of Dalhousie and Khajjiar saw a bright sunny day.

The snow and rain wreaked havoc on the road network in the interior parts of the district, the reports said, adding that a loss caused to the roads network had been estimated at around Rs 10 crore.

Chamba Deputy Commissioner Sudesh Mokhta said the Public Works Department had pressed its workforce and machinery to clear snow from roads and resume the vehicular traffic.
