A delegation of Brahmins submitted a memorandum to SP Sumer Partap Singh today expressing resentment over a song containing derogatory references to women which was viral on the social media.

They demanded the registration of a case and arrest of the singers, composer and recording centre owner.

They named Krishan Dhundva, Pardeep Bura and Kaala Kundu of Jind as singers and composer with the recording having been done at Butta Studio in Narwana.

Pawan Sharma, state president of Brahmin Samaj, Mahesh Kaushik, national vice-president of Brahmin Mahasangh, and Ram Pal Sharma, Kaithal Brahmin Sabha president, led members of the community to the Mini-Secretariat.

They served a five-day ultimatum on the administration to take action. They threatened to take to the streets if strong action was not taken against those responsible.

The SP assured the delegation of an investigation and suitable legal action against those involved. He asked them to provide an audio cassette containing the song.
