Ancient and Medieval India has been designed for candidates preparing for the Union Civil Services, as well as various state public service examinations. Written by Poonam Dalal Dahiya, a commissioned Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, the book covers the complete syllabus of Ancient and Medieval history for the Main Union Civil Service exam and also has material for the Prelims. It provides current and relevant content that has been developed following thorough analysis of the current syllabus and questions asked in previous years. Moreover, the book consists of numerous practice questions chapter wise, making it more user-friendly.

The text will come in bi-colour, and there are detachable charts that students may tear out and use as a mnemonic.

Getting to the perfect formula of learning with ease and retaining different lessons effectivelty has been a challenge for each educator and it is this challenge that Art of Living teachers and former IITians Khurshed Batliwala and Dinesh Ghodke have taken head on in this book.

Khurshed, who holds a master’s degree in maths from IIT Bombay, and Dinesh, who has a BTech in metallurgy and material sciences from IIT Bombay, tell students how studying can be made into a delightful and meaningful experience rather than being a drudgery undergone just to score well in an exam. They offer techniques for easy recall and emergency studying, importance of teamwork and even on ways to overcome the pressure of getting a good job and related depression.

Why study subjects you don’t like? How to exercise and diet right to keep your brain alert? How to use mind maps to study during an emergency? The two authors distill years of learning and teaching young people into this fun, easy-to-read book.
