Ludhiana, February 21

The city will be hosting the National Bodybuilding Competition on February 25 and 26 in which around 700 participants from across the country will vie for top honours. The competition will be held at Merry Land Palace on the Dugri road.

This was stated by Pardeep Kumar Appu, president of the Punjabi Bodybuilding Sports and Welfare Committee, while addressing the media at Appu Gym, Dugri Road, here today.

He said during the two-day competition, participants would compete for four titles — Mr India-2017, Mr India Fitness, Mr. India Fitness Model and Mr India Strongman.

The winners will be awarded with prizes worth Rs 7 lakh, in addition to momentoes and certificates.

Prof Rajinder Gill and Harvinder Saleena said the motive of organising the competition was to promote the game of bodybuilding, educate the youth about dire consequences of drugs and motivate them to take an active part in sports.

Bunty, who won Mr North India title recently, was felicitated by the committee members.
