Batote, December 23

A man’s body was recovered from the Khooni Nullah in Ramban district this morning.

According to police sources, local children while collecting wood in the area noticed a body lying under a boulder about 500 feet below the Jammu-Srinagar national highway and informed their parents who brought it to the notice of the Ramban police.

A quick response team, including some policemen and volunteers of the Indian Red Cross Society, led by Sub-Inspector Ankuj Bhagat extricated the body and brought it to the mortuary of District Hospital, Ramban.

The decomposed body appeared to be of a man in his late twenties. The man was found wearing a striped half-sleeve shirt and blue shorts but had no shoes.
