The Chandigarh Police arrested a man for duping three persons on the pretext of providing them jobs.

According to the police, Rittu Mehra, a resident of district Jalandhar, Rinku Garg, a resident of Bhatinda district, and Deep Singh, a resident of Sector 45, Chandigarh, had complained that a person claiming to be calling from M/S Millennium Solutions, Sector 34, used to approach students and unemployed persons on the pretext of providing them jobs. The accused charged Rs 2,500 as from each person as a membership fee for getting the job, however, the accused neither provided any job nor returned their money.

During the course of investigation, it also came to light that the alleged persons were changing name of their firm and shifting their offices from one place to other place time to time after cheating people.

Based on the complaint, a case of cheating was registered at Sector 34 police station and the accused Amandeep Singh, a resident of Kurukshetra district, was arrested from a parking lot in Sector 34.

Police officials said that a case of cheating against the accused was also registered in May 2013, at the Sector 34 police station while they were running a firm in the name of M/s The Cynazeous.

The accused will be produced in the court on Thursday.
