BKU Ugrahan stages protest

Sangrur: The Bhartiya Kisan Union (Ugrahan) on Tuesday held a protest in Kohriyan. During a meeting on February 19, some Jhaloor residents had allegedly misbehaved with union chief Joginder Ugrahan. “Our Dalit brothers are fighting to get their share of farm land reserved for them by law. But some anti-Dalit forces are trying their level best to prevent that. The same thing happened in Jhaloor. It led to the death of Gurdev Kaur,” alleged Ugrahan. He warned that if the remaining accused were not arrested, they would intensify their agitation. TNS
