BJP workers burn Surjewala’s effigy

The BJP organised a protest against Congress leader and Kaithal MLA Randeep Singh Surjewala by burning his effigy at Pehowa chowk here today.

A large number of BJP workers assembled and raised slogans against Surjewala before marching to Pehowa chowk. Addressing party workers, Rao Surender Singh, state BJP executive member, said Surjewala was speaking in different voices in Haryana and Punjab.

Surjewala spoke in favour of Haryana in Haryana and changed his tone in favour of Punjab in Punjab, the BJP leader said.

Rao said during the release of the Congress manifesto for Punjab Assembly elections, Surjewala had supported his party’s stand on the river waters issue. — OC
