Sonepat, February 26

All-India Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti (AIJASS) national president Yashpal Malik today reiterated to continue the agitation for an indefinite period if the state government did not accept their demands.

He was addressing participants at the dharna site near Lath-Joli crossing on the Sonepat-Gohana road here today. Most of the participants, including women, were wearing some black clothes, including turban, dupetta, shirts, caps etc as today was being observed as ‘black day’ at the dharna sites by the samiti.

Chiding the state government for its failure even in preparing the list of cases relating to last year’s Jat agitation, Malik alleged that all those 1,300 released from jails were the BJP activists and they were involved in incidents of loot, vandalism and other criminal activities in the agitation. — OC
