Bilaspur student tops NTSE

SHIMLA: Kushagra Rastogi of DAV School, Bilaspur, has topped the National Talent Search Exam (NTSE) in the state. A total of 6,096 students appeared in stage one and 37 were selected for stage two, out of which only five students were selected for the scholarship.

Kushagra Rastogi of DAV School, Bilaspur, has topped the National Talent Search Exam (NTSE) in the state.

A total of 6,096 students appeared in stage one and 37 were selected for stage two, out of which only five students were selected for the scholarship.

K Parthipan, principal, DAV School, Bilaspur, said Kushagra brought laurels to the school as well as Bilaspur. Earlier also, Kushgra won Max India Insurance Award with Rs 1 lakh and the Best Child Award from the Government of India. Kushagra is the only DAV student selected from all 55 DAV Schools in the state to get scholarship, he added.

The selected candidates will be eligible for scholarship worth Rs 1,250 for Classes XI and XII and Rs 2,000 per month for under-graduate, post-graduate and PhD according to UGC norms.

The selected candidates included Kushagra Rastogi (DAV School, Bilaspur), Akash Kaundal (Sainik School, Sujanpur), Akshay Kumar (Sainik School, Sujanpur), Ravi Kant Negi (Indo-Tibet School, Dharamsala) and Manan Goyal (Carmel School, Nahan).— TNS
