BGSBU girls hostel gets recreation, prayer room

Women hostellers of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Rajouri, held a poster making competition on the topic ‘moral values’ today. The competition marked the occasion of inauguration of recreation and prayer room by Prof Javed Musarrat, Vice Chancellor of the university. The function was held in the compound of the girls’ hostel, known as Fatima Zehra Hall.

“The main focus of the BGSBU is overall development of students. Co-curricular activities are equally important for the same, besides their academic engagements, because both have significant importance,” the VC said.

He advised the students to hold and inculcate moral values so that they can excel in every field of life.

Prof Musarrat had joined the BGSBU last year and since then, he has been involved in raising the academic standards by introducing additional courses and improving the infrastructure for the betterment of students and faculty.

The event was organised under the supervision of warden Dr Darakshan Anjum and representatives of the hostel, namely Syed Iqra Moosvi and Mehreen Chowdhary. Insha Amin presented the welcome address while the vote of thanks was presented by Rashida Gani.
