Man succumbs to thrashing injuries

CHAMBA: A person who was beaten up by some drunk people at Purthi village in the Pangi tribal valley succumbed to his injuries on way to DRPGMC, Tanda, on Saturday, according to a police report received here today.

A person who was beaten up by some drunk people at Purthi village in the Pangi tribal valley succumbed to his injuries on way to DRPGMC, Tanda, on Saturday, according to a police report received here today. The deceased had been identified as Nanak Chand, a resident of Purthi.

He was beaten up by the drunken persons on Friday and was brought to the Community Health Centre (CHC), Killar, the sub-divisional headquarters of the Pangi valley, the report said.

The medical officer referred him to DRPGMC, Tanda, but he succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital.—OC
