Shimla, May 22

Transport Minister GS Bali today blamed the bad roads for accidents. Bali, who took stock of the accident site near Theog, today wrote on his Facebook account that it seemed that the accident took place when the driver tried to save the vehicle coming from the front.

He said in Jogindernagar road accident, digging of roads was responsible.

Bailing out the HRTC driver, he stated that there was no doubt on the competence of the drivers. Asking the Public Works Department to immediately improve the black spots, he said he would talk to Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh who also holds the PWD portfolio.

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh yesterday directed law and order agencies to take action against those violating traffic norms and driving while drinking and using mobile phones.
