Palampur, August 28
CSK Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University organised a sensitisation programme on ragging here on Friday.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Ashok Kumar Sarial said as per directions of the Supreme Court and the state government, steps had been taken by the university to stop the menace of ragging.
The Vice-Chancellor said his university had the glorious tradition of ragging-free campus for the past eight years and he would ensure that the convention continues in the future as well.
Prof Sarial elaborated about all aspects of the Anti-ragging Act and asked students to be aware of it. He administered anti-ragging pledge to students and officers present on the occasion. — OC
