Auto showroom gutted in Gurgaon

GURGAON: Several three-wheelers were gutted in a major blaze which broke out at the City Automobile showroom situated on Sohna road in Badshahpur on Friday.

Several three-wheelers were gutted in a major blaze which broke out at the City Automobile showroom situated on Sohna road in Badshahpur on Friday. It took 10 fire tenders over two hours to douse the flames.

Fumes were reportedly seen rising from the showroom in the morning and the fire department was immediately informed. Beerbal Sharma, a fire official, said 4 fire engines were called from Sector 29 fire station, while 2 each were pressed into service from Sector 37 and Udyog Vihar fire stations.

Ashish Garg, the showroom owner, said, “There were over 150 autos inside the showroom when the fire began. While majority were gutted, only 50 could be saved.” The loss of property and reason behind the fire are yet to be ascertained.
