One of the youngest bestselling authors, Sumrit Shahi, today motivated students of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 15, to follow their passion and make it their profession to achieve success. Sumrit Shahi was here for the launch of his third book, “Never Kiss Your Best Friend”.
Sumrit Shahi is one of the youngest scriptwriters in the Indian TV industry. He has authored two bestselling novels and is currently writing for popular TV shows ‘Sadda Haq’ and ‘Million Dollar Girl’ on Channel V.
Sumrit stressed, “No career path is easy. However, when you do something you like, life can be relatively happier and more fruitful in the longer run.”
He talked about how one shouldn’t get into any career thinking about its monetary gains as that eventually led to frustration, and how there were so many unconventional career paths to choose from, provided one dared to follow his/her heart and most importantly finds his/her calling.
The author also spoke about his recently released novel, “Never Kiss Your Best Friend”, a coming-of-age story of a girl and a boy who navigate through their teenage as best friends and support systems for each other, as they deal with issues of peer pressure, career choices, heart-breaks and substance abuse.
Sumrit concluded his talk by inspiring students to go down the less-trodden path and confidently make their own choices, without the fear of failing.
