A free artificial limbs distribution camp was organised by the Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust, Punjab, at Viklang Sahayata Kendra in Rishi Nagar today. Artificial limbs, calipers, tricycles and hearing aids were given to 50 physically challenged persons.

Narinder Mittal, secretary of the trust, said since 1996, the trust had organised 1,051 camps in which artificial limbs, calipers, crutches, tricycles and hearing aids had been provided to more than 44,563 physically handicapped persons. The trust has also organised polio surgery camps, in which 2,185 polio operations have been done successfully.
