A branch of Punjab National Bank (PNB) located near the Civil Hospital in Narnaul town here caught fire in early morning hours today. Furniture, computers and other articles were gutted in the incident. Fire engines took over two hours to douse the fire.

“It was around 2 am that someone noticed flames and smoke coming of the bank and informed the fire department. Cash and other bank records are safe while entire furniture and eight computers were destroyed in the fire,” said MS Yadav, manager of the branch. The reason behind the fire was yet to be ascertained, he added.
