Jammu: A week-long art camp organised by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) for children at Spiritual Growth Centre, concluded here. Twentyfive children from Katra and surrounding areas participated in the camp in which they were imparted training in painting techniques in oil and water colours as well as making crafts, sculptures and models by Shiv Shankar Sharma, artist of the shrine board. Piyush Singla and MK Kumar, Additional Chief Executive Officers, SMVDSB, gave away prizes to the participants whose paintings and sculptures were adjudged best. They included K Priyadarshan, who got the first prize; Vaishnavi Sharma, second prize; Karanjeet, third prize and Ankit was awarded consolation prize. All other participants were given certificates and mementos. tns
