Army Public School Birpur tops in quiz

Dehradun, April 25

Army Public School, Birpur, bagged the first position in the 15th All-India Inter-School Challenge Quiz conducted by Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) here yesterday.

The first position was bagged by Army Public School, Birpur (100 points), followed by Summer Valley School and Brightlands School (85 points each), RIMC (80 points), Oak Grove School (45 points) and Wynberg Allen School (40 points).

A total of 27 schools that participated in the quiz are La Martinere College for Boys, Kolkata; Vasant Valley School, New Delhi; Sherwood College, Nainital; La Martinere College for Girls, Lucknow; La Martinere College for Boys, Lucknow; Scindia School, Gwalior; Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer; Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls’ School, Jaipur; Auckland House, Shimla; St Joseph’s Academy, Doon International School, The Asian School, Welham Boys’ School, Scholar’s Home, Oak Grove School, PYDS, St. George’s College, Mussoorie; Wynberg Allen School, Mussoorie; Unison World School, The Army Public School, Birpur; The Doon School, Welham Girls’ School, Summer Valley School, Hopetown Girls’ School, Cambrian Hall, Brightlands School, Dehradun; Marshall School and the RIMC participated in the competition.

The chief guest of the quiz was Anuj Dayal, head of Corporate Communications for the Delhi Metro Rail Project. The quiz was conducted in different rounds of current affairs, sports round, ecology and environment, science round, ask & quit, do or die, audio round, video round and the buzzer round.
