Army greets Doda elders back from tour

JAMMU: The Delta Force of the Army today flagged in a tour of 25 elderly persons from the remote Doda district.

The Delta Force of the Army today flagged in a tour of 25 elderly persons from the remote Doda district. They were on a national integration tour to places of historical importance, said a Defence spokesperson.

In an endeavour to acquaint them to the rich cultural diversity and development across the country, a tour comprising 25 elderly persons was organised by the Sohanda battalion of the Rashtriya Rifles under the Delta Force.

He said the tour was flagged in by GOC of the 16 Corps, Lt Gen KH Singh, at the Dharmund garrison in Doda. The people visited various places of cultural, religious and historical interest. The highlight was interaction with the President and the Republic Day parade.
