Security forces today recovered some arms and ammunition in the Bajali area of Reasi district.

On receipt of information, troops of Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, police personnel and 163 TA Battalion recovered a cache of arms and ammunition in the Bajali area of Dandihalya from a natural hideout, said a defence spokesperson. The troops cordoned off the area and in the ensuing search operation recovered one AK-47 rifle, one AK-47 magazine, 249 rounds of AK-47 ammunition, one UBGL, one 9 mm pistol with magazine, five rounds of 9mm pistol ammunition, 23 PIKA rounds, radio set and other war-like stores, he added. — TNS
