Ludhiana, December 24

ADC (Development) Supreet Singh Gulati has directed all banks to ensure installation of CCTV cameras inside and outside their premises and ATM kiosks to prevent robberies and untoward incidents.

He said this while speaking with the management teams of banks during a district-level review committee meeting at Bachat Bhawan today.

He said where these cameras are installed, data video recorders (DVRs) should be placed at secure places.

He also asked the police to close ATM kiosks that do not have security guards and CCTV cameras. He said security guards should be trained or ex-Army persons. They should be armed and wear proper uniform.

The ACP (Crime) assured that the movement of PCRs would be ensured outside banks with high-value business transactions.
