FARIDABAD: Robbers struck at two ATM booths in the city last night and decamped with Rs 10 lakh after breaking open the machines.

Robbers struck at two ATM booths in the city last night and decamped with Rs 10 lakh after breaking open the machines. 

The police said the robbers used a gas-cutter to break the Canara Bank ATM on NH-3 in the NIT area last night and fled with Rs 8 lakh. The ATM is on the premises of a bank branch, but no security guard was present at the time of the incident. The matter was reported to the police today morning by some locals who found the booth door open and machine broken. 

The second incident took place at Banga Chowk in Dabua Colony. Here, Rs 2 lakh was stolen from the ATM of a non-banking company. — TNS
