Former Chief Minster Prem Kumar Dhumal today said the Congress was a sinking ship and those sailing in it are bound to be doomed. He today addressed a massive gathering on the occasion of filing of nomination by BJP candidate Anil Dhiman for the Bhoranj by-poll, scheduled for April 9. He said that people of Bharonj are well aware that the development in the constituency is due to sincere efforts of late ID Dhiman, former BJP MLA who served this constituency relentlessly for over 27 years.

“Now his son Dr Anil Dhiman will carry forward the legacy of his father to serve the people of the constituency,” he stated. Dhumal said that former Education minister late ID Dhiman had worked not only for the development of the constituency but had played a major role in improving the education standard in the state.

He said that now time had come to repay the contribution of the leader by ensuring the victory of his son and son of soil Anil Dhiman.

The former Chief Minister said the development in the state had come a halt under the Congress government and the state was reeling under mafia raj. He said public security was being compromised and people were forced to live under fear and threat. He urged people to vote for Anil Dhiman to encourage entry of honest and educated people in politics. Speaking on the occasion Satpal Singh Satti, BJP state president said that former Minister ID Dhiman was not only a great statesman but his integrity and honesty was unquestionable. He said his son Anil Dhiman had been fielded by the BJP to ensure victory. The BJP would not leave any stone unturned to ensure Dhiman’s victory.

He said the BJP wave was sweeping the country and it would only be repeated in Bhoranj. “The BJP in Himachal will only replicate the resounding victory of Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Manipur and Goa,” he remarked.

Earlier Anil Dhiman filed his nomination papers at the Sub Divisional Office at Bhoranj in the presence of many senior BJP leaders, including Dhumal, Satti, Praveen Sharma, Randhir Sharma and Vikram Kanwar , both MLAs.
